Terms and Conditions for Trekking Bookings
1. Booking Confirmation
  • A booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit (usually 20-30% of the total trekking cost) unless stated otherwise.
  • The remaining balance must be paid before the trek commences (or as per specific conditions mentioned in the invoice).
  • All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
 
2. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Clients:
  • 30+ days before trek: 10% cancellation fee of the total trip cost.
  • 15-30 days before trek: 25% cancellation fee.
  • Less than 15 days before trek: No refunds provided.
Cancellation by the Agency:
In rare cases of unforeseen circumstances (natural disasters, political instability, etc.), the agency reserves the right to cancel the trek.
Clients will be offered an alternative trek or a refund, minus any non-refundable expenses already incurred.
 
3. Refund Policy
No refunds will be provided for unused services (meals, accommodation, transportation, etc.) during the trek once the trip begins.
Refunds will not be issued for cancellations due to personal emergencies, illness, or delays caused by external factors like weather conditions.
 
4. Travel Insurance
Clients must have travel insurance that covers medical evacuation, high-altitude trekking, accidents, theft, and trip cancellations.
The agency is not responsible for any insurance-related matters.
 
5. Health and Fitness
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are fit for trekking and have consulted a medical professional if needed.
The agency reserves the right to refuse any participant deemed unfit for the trek for their safety.
 
6. Risks and Responsibilities
Clients understand that trekking involves inherent risks such as accidents, injuries, altitude sickness, natural disasters, etc.
The agency and its staff will take all reasonable precautions but shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage during the trek.
Clients must comply with the instructions of the trekking guide for safety purposes.
 
7. Changes to Itinerary
The agency reserves the right to modify itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances like weather conditions, trail conditions, flight cancellations, or safety issues.
 
Additional expenses arising from such changes (extra accommodation, transportation) will be the responsibility of the client.
 
8. Permits and Documentation
The agency will assist in obtaining necessary permits for trekking (TIMS, national park fees, etc.), but clients must provide valid documents such as passports, visa copies, and photos.
 
9. Personal Belongings
The agency is not responsible for the loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings during the trek. Clients should take necessary precautions.
 
10. Payment Methods
Payments can be made via cash, bank transfer, or other methods specified by the agency. Any transaction fees are to be borne by the client.
 
11. Code of Conduct
Clients are expected to respect local customs, communities, and the environment. Any inappropriate behavior could result in the termination of the trek without a refund.
 
12. Acknowledgment of Agreement
Clients agree to abide by these terms and conditions when booking a trek.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

We Veteran Everest Trek have resources in Nepal for Nepal-based trekking and tour service.

Our representative will be in the arrival lobby with your name card. Our airport staff will brief you on the trip and provide vouchers. Our agency has a special space for arrival parking. You will be transferred to the hotel from the arrival gate. Our office representative will meet you in the evening and invite you to a welcome dinner.

Day 02: Trek Preparation Day at Kathmandu

The second day of the trek is a leisure and preparatory day to ensure a smooth trekking experience. This day will involve finalizing the trek preparations; a detailed meeting with the tour guide regarding the route, safety, and any expectations will be covered, and all necessary arrangements and documentation, such as dealing with trekking permits and tickets, will be taken into consideration to ensure compliance with local regulations. This relaxed schedule also allows trekkers to double-check their equipment and acclimate to the environment, setting the stage for a successful and enjoyable journey ahead.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (710m/ 2330ft) 8 hours

After an early breakfast, you will leave Kathmandu in the morning in our private jeep or land cruiser for soti khola. The first part of the journey is smooth as you go through the highway. But, from Gorkha or Dhading, the path is rough (two ways go to Arughat). Soti Khola is approx 13 km away from Arughat and is the starting point of the trek. Overnight at a lodge in Soti Khola

Day 04: Trek from Soti Khola to Macha Khola (930m/ 3052ft) 7-8 hours

Your trek starts from today. From Soti Khola, Machha Khola is 15km away and it will take around 5 hours to reach there. Little further from Soti Khola, there lies an army camp in Lighting and walking further from there will take you to the place named Khursani baari. (Khursani baari means green chili field) you can also view the 100m lengthy amazing waterfall from opposite side of Khursani baari. Walking on the same side will lead you to Machha Khola. After the massive earthquake of 2015, you will get the shocking landslide view in the area. Nowadays road facility has been developed which was little disturbed by the earthquake. The residence in the area is less as you can find just 20-30 houses in the whole area. There also reside 4 popular hotels. Stay overnight at camp in Machha Khola

Day 05: Macha Khola to Jagat (2095m /4626 ft) 6-7 hours

After the permit checking in the police checkpoint in Machha Khola, you will continue your trial towards Jagat. On the way, you enjoy the bath in hot spring and move along the steep valley sides. An hour before reaching Jagat, you will have the mesmerizing horizon view of cantilever bridge from Yaru bagar (which will take 20 minutes to reach). This cantilever bridge is 158 m long and is considered as the first bridge in Nepal. Jagat is about 22 km away from Machha Khola and will take approximately 7 hours to reach there. After a little walk from the location of the bridge, the sight of Jagat’s field will welcome you for an overnight camp.

Day 06: Jagat to Deng (1340m) 6-7 hours

After the permit check-in upper Jagat, you will continue your trek early in the morning. It is about 7hrs walk to Deng village which consists of just around 4 houses and 3 hotels. On the way to Salleri after about 40 minutes of walk, you will need to cross one river. Here you will see two hydropowers (one new and one old).On the way, you will pass from Salleri to Sirdibas which is inhabited by local Gurung, overviewing the mountain named Siring (7239m). After crossing a bridge and walking for about 15 to 20 minutes, you will reach Philim, where lies different administrative offices, land revenue offices, police stations, and many more. From Philim you will trek to Chisapani. After having lunch in Chisapani, you will take the path towards Naykphedi and further to Pewa which will take about one and a half hours to reach. In Pewa, you will have to cross the suspension bridge 2 times which itself is a nice experience. From Pewa, it will take 45 minutes to Deng. Stay overnight in camps.

Day 07: Deng to Namrung (2900m) 6-7 hours

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will start your trial downhill to Budhi Gandaki River and uphill to Rana gaon viewing the beautiful landscape and rivers. From Rana gaon, you will reach Bihiphedi after 45 minutes of walk. From Bihiphedi, you march towards Gap, the lunch place, which will take about 2 hours to reach. You will take lunch there and after lunch, you will walk for one hour through the dense forest after crossing the river from old to new version overseeing the dense forest, dead pine tree and many more. You then reach to Suksum and from there you will climb uphill to Namrung which will take about 1 hour and 20 minutes. After Deng, you can find the people of Tibetan lifestyle and culture. In Namrung you can find a resort and if you want to stay there. Other mesmerizing views are of Saula Himal, Himalchuli Range. Overall, Namrung is approximately 21 km far from Deng and will take about 7 hours to reach there. Stay overnight in namrung.

Day 08: Namrung to Samagaon (3500m) 6-7 hours

Today, you will walk to the beautiful village of Samagaon. To reach Samagaun from Namrung, you will pass through the places like Banjam, Lihi, Sho, Lho, and Sayla. On the way, before reaching Lho, you will view a monastery which is recognized as the one in the region. In this monastery, more than 200 monks study among whom all are boys. The path towards Lihi is steep and marching there will give you the view of Ganesh Himal, north Himchuli and Naike peak in the right. You will continue your trip towards Sho and in the corner, you find two ways, among which one lead to Hinayang monastery and another path leading to Manaslu larkya pass. From Sho, it will take 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Lho and from Lho you will trek for 2 hours to reach Sayla. From Sayla, it will take 1 hour to reach Samagaun. From the syala, you will get the panoramic view of north Himalchuli, Nadi Chuli Manaslu, north Manaslu, Nike peak, Saula Himal, and siringi himal. Real yak view is also a major satisfaction. It is the biggest village which originated about 200 years ago from Tibet. It is the popular place for commerce and is the route to Manaslu Base Camp. Stay overnight in samagaon.

Day 09: Acclimatization day at Samagaon (3500m)

After the tiring trek, it is a rest day for this trek. You can spend the day sitting in the hotel and roam around in the surroundings only. But if you want to hike, then you will have three options. You can visit Birendra Tal (3 km from Samagaon), Basecamp, or Pungen monastery and Basecamp. Base Camp is 6 km away and will take 5 hours to reach there. It is at an elevation of 4800m. You can also have a view of Manaslu glacier and crossing the glacier through bridge will take you to naturally beautiful Camp area. There is also an existence of cave. The pungen monastery is 6-7 km far from your acclimatization spot and has the flat surrounding before reaching there. It gives the panoramic view better than the base camp. Stay overnight in Samagaun.

Day 10: Samagaon to Samdo (3690m) 4 hours

From Samagaon village first, you will walk for around 3 hours across a steep hill and proceed on flat land for 15 minutes walk before you reach the destination- Samdo. Samdo is a Tibetan refugee village at the height of 3800m. On this day, you will trek through beautiful Juniper and Birch forests to the base camp. Once here, you will witness the amazing mountains. Added, you will get one of the clearest views of Mt. Manaslu. You will trek around 16 km today. Overnight stay at Samdo.

Day 11: Samdo to Dharamsala (4450m) 4 hours

Your journey starts in the morning with a downhill trek up to Budhi Gandaki River. Then you cross the river and again follow an ascent through Larkya Bazaar and Valley of Salka Khola towards Dharmasala which is not a lodge but an easy place to stay for a night. It is 7km away and will take about 4 hours to reach there on normal days. You have a high chance of seeing blue sheep. This place is also known as Larke Phedi. Stay overnight at Dharmasala

Day 12: Dharamsala to Bhimtang (3720m) 8 hours

The trek of this day starts early in the morning at about 3am which will provide the most beautiful scenic view of sunrise and top wind flow will blow the mind of any travelers. You will have the view of Annapurna II, single himal, Kangaroo Himal, Himlung Himal, Cho Himal, starting from the left corner. From Larkye you will have the view of Cho and Larke peak. The trial of reaching Bhimtang will take 9 hours to complete. Stay overnight at Bhimtang.

Day 13: Bhimtang to Dharapani (1860m) 7-8 hours

The place Dharapani extends from Gorkha to Manang district. In your trial, you pass through Karche, Goa, Tilche and finally reach Dharapani. The trail descends to Dudh Khola (milky river) viewing different mountain summits like the zoomed ones. There is also approximate 5 minutes of the uphill climb where you will be warm and hotter. Then again trial starts descending through the pine jungle. There are also found 8 to 10 colored rhododendron in the month of May and June. Descend is followed by the lunch after reaching Surkhi. After lunch, you move uphill for about 10 minutes and again downhill to Goa. Goa is a nice and peaceful place which consists of 4 hotels with good and somehow best food and accommodation services. After walking for about 20 minutes, you will reach a bridge crossing which will lead to Mane, and finally to Tiliche and Dharapani after 30 minutes of further trial. Stay overnight at Dharapani.

Day 14: Drive to Kathmandu 7-11 Hours

After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu. After arriving in Kathmandu you take a rest at our hotel or stroll in the streets of Thamel, a popular tourist hub for some souvenir shopping. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner hosted by Veteran Everest Trek to celebrate the successful completion of your 11 days of trekking. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 15: Final departure
