The Everest Base Camp helicopter tour is perfect! In just one day, you’ll fly high above the mountains, seeing amazing views of Everest, Kala Patthar, and the whole Khumbu area. It’s a comfy and quick way to experience the Himalayas’ beauty without the hard hiking.
This tour isn’t just a quick flight; it’s a real adventure. You’ll see everything from green valleys to icy peaks, and even land at places like Lukla and Periche for photos. We stop at the Everest View Hotel for breakfast with incredible views. It’s a great choice if you’re short on time or can’t hike, letting you enjoy Everest’s stunning sights without the difficult trek.
High-altitude flights require passenger splitting at Pheriche (Max 3 passengers per flight to Kala Patthar)
No Landing at Everest Base Camp, due to glaciers, helicopters only fly over EBC but land at Kala Patthar on special request.
The trip is short enough to avoid altitude sickness, but oxygen is available in the helicopter.
Morning:
1. Take off from Kathmandu: Enjoy a scenic flight over Kathmandu's historic landmarks like temples, palaces, and traditional settlements. (40 minutes)
2. Fly over breathtaking landscapes: Soar above Jiri and Nagarkot Hill, capturing panoramic views of the Himalayas. (10 minutes)
3. Brief stop at Lukla: While your helicopter refuels, take a short break at Lukla Airport. (10 minutes)
Mid-morning:
4. Helicopter tour to Pheriche: Enjoy a thrilling flight over Namche Bazaar and Tengboche, two iconic Himalayan villages. Land in Pheriche, a beautiful village surrounded by towering peaks. (15-20 minutes)
Optional Shuttle (for groups of 5):
If your group has 5 people, a shuttle service will be used due to weight restrictions at high altitudes. Everyone will get a window seat during the shuttles.
Mid-morning to afternoon:
5. Flyover of Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar: Witness the majestic peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and surrounding giants from a breathtaking aerial perspective. (15-20 minutes)
6. Land at Everest View Hotel: Relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast at the highest luxury hotel in the world, surrounded by stunning Himalayan panoramas. (30 minutes)
Afternoon:
7. Return to Lukla: Take a scenic flight back to Lukla, marveling at the beauty of Sagarmatha National Park with its diverse flora and fauna. (15 minutes)
8. Refuel at Lukla: Enjoy a short break at Lukla Airport before your final leg back to Kathmandu. (10 minutes)
9. Return to Kathmandu: Embark on your final flight, soaring over Jiri and Nagarkot once more. Enjoy the last glimpses of the majestic Himalayas before landing in Kathmandu. (40 minutes)
Upon arrival:
Our team will transfer you back to your hotel in Kathmandu.
