The Everest Base Camp Trek (also known as EBC trek) is one of Nepal’s most well-known trekking adventures. It is one of the best Everest base camp trek packages, lasting for 13 days, and takes location in the Khumbu region of the country, home of the outstanding Everest Himalayas. The trip is a stunning adventure filled with Khumbu’s pleasant natural, cultural, and Himalayan facets. It is one of the great opportunities to revel in the mighty Everest peaks up close from every angle. The sight of the majestic Himalayas of the Everest massif is indescribable in words.
With all those close experiences in the highest mountainous region in the world along with really low temperatures, the Everest base camp trek might look intimidating and difficult but with our guide and your sheer determination, it will be possible to trek at the base of Mount Everest, which will be worth it as you will be creating one of the best experiences anyone can ever imagine at an altitude of 5545m.
The Everest Base Camp Trek route starts with a quick flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Upon touchdown at the Lukla airport, one of the world’s highest-located airports, you can immediately sense the trade in the environment. The Himalayan breeze coruscates down the peaks and brushes the hills with a refreshingly chilly patina. The trekking trail then branches off closer to several ethnic Sherpa settlements and villages earlier than ultimately concluding at the base camp of the world’s tallest Himalayan peak.
(P.S: Lukla flights from Kathmandu depend upon the season and traffic at Kathmandu airport. In such situations, all the Lukla flights will be connected to Ramechhap airport.)
Note: If you wish to extend the trip beyond the given itinerary, a cost of $100 per person per day will apply.
Because of weather issues, flights are subject to be delayed or canceled. So, it's better if you have time flexibility to be always safe.

Carrying the appropriate equipment can make your trek safer and more comfortable. Ensure your gear is well-suited for the cold, altitude, and varying conditions.
Trekking in the Everest region is an incredible adventure, but the high altitude poses significant risks, particularly from Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). AMS occurs when the body struggles to adapt to reduced oxygen levels and can escalate into life-threatening conditions like High-Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE) or Cerebral Edema (HACE) if untreated. Symptoms range from headaches, nausea, and fatigue to severe issues like confusion, persistent vomiting, and difficulty breathing. Recognizing and addressing these symptoms early is crucial to staying safe.
Preventing altitude sickness involves proper acclimatization, slow ascents, staying hydrated, eating well, and monitoring oxygen levels. If symptoms occur, descending to a lower altitude and seeking medical attention can save lives. Essential preparations include carrying a first-aid kit, portable oxygen, warm clothing, and ensuring emergency evacuation insurance. By staying informed and respecting the challenges of high-altitude trekking, you can enjoy a safer and unforgettable journey in the Everest region.
Temperatures during Everest trekking can vary widely, depending on the season, ranging from 15°C (59°F) during the day in lower altitudes to as low as -20°C (-4°F) or colder at night in higher elevations.
The weather in the Everest region is highly unpredictable, with conditions varying significantly depending on the season and altitude. During the pre-monsoon (March to May) and post-monsoon (September to November) trekking seasons, the weather is generally stable, offering clear skies and mild temperatures. However, higher altitudes can still experience sub-zero temperatures, especially at night. Temperatures drop drastically in winter (December to February), and snowfall can make trekking routes challenging. The monsoon season (June to August) brings heavy rain to lower altitudes and increases the risks of landslides and slippery trails. Always be prepared for sudden weather changes and carry appropriate gear to handle cold, wind, and precipitation.
